Onyx

I was bored and somehow stumbled onto the East Coast Hardcore group Onyx's website the other day. Onyx had a few hits in the 90s but really hasn't been heard from since in the mainstream although they continue to put out music and you continue to see Kurt 'Sticky Fingaz' Jones pop up in everything from The Shield to starring in the new Blade TV series.

I think their biggest hit was Slam which I started liking so much during a metal phase because it was just so in your face, it made you want to break something. Of course it didn't take so long to realize that they were really as badass as they sounded. They released a single and some remixes with the New York Thrash band Biohazard which kicked ass also. If you are a fan of the Wu-Tang clan or any East Coast style rap you should check them out. They have a ton of music for download mostly rare tracks and then if you like them go buy some more music.
