Erotica-LA is coming up....

Well the Erotica-LA is coming up which is one of the industries oldest and largest adult industry shows. They have everything for pros behind the camera and in front of the camera as well as people who are just into.... well anything. They have BSDM, Erotic Apparel, Video, fetish, usually there is a runway show to show off the latest in 'stripper wear'. It's generally a lot of fun. At $30.00 for general admission + a trip to LA you can't beat it. Although I'm thinking about going there to make money... no not in that way...

Most of you who know me know that I went to the AVN Expo and then the AVN Award show. I'm not really into 'porn' but it's a pretty interesting industry as well as it has a huge money making potential.

One of the most basic things I saw at the AVN Expo that seemed like the people made HUGE money on were the t-shirt vendors. There a handful of them at the expo and they were pimping shirts with clever logos. One of the vendors was "I Love Vagina Clothing Co." they were selling shirts for $15.00 a pop, their booth was simple and just loaded with T-shirts and stickers they were consistently slammed with a mob of people.

I looked into this and besides your design time and getting everything prepped for silk screening (under 100) you can then get in bulk t-shirts printed with whatever for less than 7.00 per 100 units. The more quantity the cheaper things get. So the booth cost $1500.00 and the average price for a t-shirt (not counting the hoodie and other crap sold) $15.00. Counting hotel and transportation costs you would only have to sell about 200 shirts to have covered your costs. While I was standing there I saw at least 40 shirts purchased on average people bought 2 a piece and the expo was 3-4 days long. I went back in the last few hours of the expo and there were still a ton of people. These guys had to of raked in the money.

Back to the original topic booth space at Erotica-LA is only about 1k. Anyone want to come up with some up with some clever T-shirt designs and we can put up a booth. I own the domain evilshirts.com which would be fun to do something with besides point at my other stores.

About the end of April beginning of May. The show is in June and exhibitor registration ends mid may.

Then I have to send the designs to get printed, put up the capital to print the shirts, register, get a website up. Sounds like 15 days worth of work to me... :)

However if we come up with enough of them Ill put up a full time webstore. I figure whoever
makes the design keeps the majority of the profit from any shirt of theirs sold. Im serious these t-shirt vendors at these shows ha
d to be rolling in the dough afterwords since they were one of the only groups of people actually SELLING products at the expo.
